Home-Start Kirklees is a family support charity, helping families with young children deal with whatever life throws at them. We help families facing isolation, bereavement, mental health issues, financial insecurity and more. Our local network of trained volunteers and paid expert staff support families with young children through their toughest times. Our vision is a society in which every parent/carer has the support they need to give their children the best start in life.

2 x Family Workers (Temporary 6 month contract)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: NJC Scale SCP 7 – 11. Starting salary SCP 7 (£26,403)
We have a temporary 6 month vacancy for 2 Family Workers who will contribute to the effective day-to-day operation of Home-Start Kirklees. The Family Worker will work with parents/carers/parents-to-be, living within Kirklees, who have been referred to us, to provide practical support that will enable them to cope confidently with parenting, to access appropriate services for themselves and their children, and to engage in education or training.
