We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Family Solicitor with 10+ years PQE to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in handling Private Family matters, including divorce, financial remedy, and private law Children Act cases. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor who is passionate about family law and enjoys working in a supportive, client‑focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of Private Family matters, including:
- Divorce and Dissolution of civil partnerships
- Financial remedy
- Financial provision for children and separation agreements
- Cohabitation agreements
- Adoption cases
- Provide expert legal advice and representation in divorce, financial remedy, and Children Act cases.
- Develop new client business through referrals and business development activities.
- Maintain high‑quality client service, managing client expectations effectively.
- Ensure competent file management, including using computerised case management systems.
- Advocate on behalf of clients in court as necessary.
- Ensure effective credit control and manage billing processes.
- Work under supervision while being receptive to constructive feedback.
Essential Requirements
- 10+ years PQE in Family Law.
- Proven experience in divorce, financial remedy, and private law Children Act cases.
- Demonstrated success in winning new business through referrals and business development.
- Strong file management and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage client expectations and deliver high‑quality service.
- Proficiency in Word, Outlook, Excel, and experience with case management systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with public speaking experience.
- High level of integrity, energy, and drive.
- Willingness to work outside normal business hours when required.
- A team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively.
