This Family Medicine Primary Care Provider job involves providing comprehensive healthcare to patients of all ages, focusing on preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment of common illnesses. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients seeking medical care, guiding them on health promotion, disease prevention, and treatment.
Managing the overall health and wellness of patients, including preventative care, diagnosis, and treatment of various conditions.
Providing patients and their families with information about treatment options and care goals.
Working with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, physician assistants, and specialists, to ensure coordinated care.
Documentation:
Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records, including patient history, examinations, and treatment plans.
Participating in on-call rotations when needed.
Education: Completion of an accredited medical school and a residency program in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or combined Internal Medicine/Pediatrics.
Board Certification/Eligibility: Must be board certified or eligible in Family Medicine.
Licensure: Valid Vermont medical license.
Experience: Experience in a primary care or community health setting is often preferred.
Skills: Strong clinical and interpersonal skills are essential.
