About the role

Support Workers work as front line staff for the Family Hub service. They provide groups and intervention support both in our main Family Hub buildings as well as within family homes and community venues .

No day is ever the same in Family Hubs – our Support workers work with and support a large number and diverse range of families, many of whom do not speak English as their first language or need extra help from us to access our services.

Family hub evidence-based interventions delivered by the support workers include support around speech and language development, parenting interventions such as Triple P level 3, cost of living support to families, and parental relationship support.

The Family Hubs service has received additional funding from the Department for Education for a third year of transformation and we are excited about this next chapter in the development of our service.

We have vacancies for two full time positions, one based in the Hangleton Family Hub and one based at Tarner Family Hub in central Brighton. You will also be expected to travel to other Family Hubs sites and work across the city as part of this role.

Work with families is recorded using the Eclipse recording system and if you have good communication and administrative skills, as well as experience of delivering evidence based support to families we would love to hear from you.

The posts are full-time 37 hours between the hours of 8.30am and 5pm depending on location.
