Job summary

A leading facilities management company is seeking a candidate for a mobile role covering Swindon, Oxford, and Reading. The role involves carrying out routine and reactive maintenance tasks while providing high-quality support to Facilities Management contracts. The ideal candidate will have a background in a fabric trade, understand Health and Safety legislation, and possess a full clean driving license. This position offers a salary up to £35,500 per annum and numerous benefits including extensive learning opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine tasks as defined by the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
  • Perform reactive maintenance including minor repairs to doors and windows.
  • Maintain workshop tools and equipment to ensure they are fit for use.
  • Undertake small works and variation tasks as issued by the Help Desk.

Skills

Experience in a fabric trade background
Sound understanding of Health and Safety Legislation
Ability to interface with customer staff
Ability to be a self-starter
Full clean driving license
IPAF & PASMA certification

About the role

Job Purpose: To focus on the expected team behaviours for achieving significant results and outcomes for the business, helping EMCOR to maintain its leading edge status within the industry and our reputation with our customers. To provide a high quality support service to Facilities Management contracts.

What you’ll do:
  • Carry out routine tasks on a daily / weekly basis as defined by the site Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
  • Carry out reactive maintenance to doors / windows / thresholds / minor brickwork, rendering and plastering. Other ancillary duties such as gutter cleaning, furniture moves may also be required.
  • Undertake follow up to resolve situational circumstances for which you have been authorised to undertake.
  • Maintain equipment and tools within site workshop facilities, ensuring they are fit for purpose at all times.
  • Carry out small works / variation tasks issued by the Help Desk.
  • Other duties as required.
Who you’ll be:
  • Experience in a fabric trade background
  • Sound understanding of requirements under Health and Safety Legislation
  • Ability to interface with people including customer staff at all levels
  • Ability to be a self starter within a team environment
  • Full clean driving license
  • IPAF & PASMA certification
