ABOUT THE ROLE

As aFood & Beverage Assistant, you’ll play a key role in delivering outstanding service and creating memorable experiences for our guests. You’ll help ensure smooth, efficient service throughout the restaurant, always going the extra mile to make every visit special.

Previous experience is a plus, butnot essential—we welcome applications from anyone with a background in similar roles and a passion for hospitality.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure the restaurant is set up for service, respecting the restaurant-specific standards
  • You will assist with the duties of the bar, making coffee's/ tea's
  • Delivering outstanding customer service and exceeding guest expectations
  • Ensure that all work equipment, crockery, cutlery and glassware, are always perfectly polished and in good condition, and stocked where they need to be
  • Have a thorough knowledge of all dishes and beverages on the menu, being able to bring them “to life” in conversation with guests, and be aware of all potential allergens
  • Keep a constant attentive eye on the timing and flow of service at your tables, highlighting any delays to your manager
  • Ensure all bills presented to the guests are correct, and are cashed off correctly
  • Bring our purpose to life by driving meaningful social and environmental improvements, contributing to our journey as a B Corp, and aligning with our sustainability vision.
  • Inspire and empower our customers, suppliers, and partners to live and work more consciously, creating a lasting positive impact on the world.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
  • Strong communication skills – Clearly relay orders and requests between the kitchen and front-of-house teams.
  • Excellent customer service – Polite, attentive, and professional when interacting with guests.
  • Attention to detail – Ensure food is presented correctly and delivered to the right tables promptly.
  • Teamwork and collaboration – Work efficiently with kitchen and service staff to maintain smooth operations.
  • Physical stamina and speed – Comfortable working on your feet for long periods and moving quickly in a fast-paced environment.

*The on target earning potential for this role is £32,469.20 per annum based on a 45-hour contract - comprising a base salary of £28,969.20, plus a qualified estimate of £3,500 in gratuities and service charge. Please note this role is paid hourly so this is a projected salary and OTE.

About gratuities & service charge:
  • Gratuities are paid on a pro-rata basis.
  • It is estimated that in 2025, our full-time employees can expect to receive in the range of £3,500 in addition to their annual salary.
