Bourne Education Trust (BET) is a successful multiacademy trust comprising twenty‑four schools across Surrey, Hampshire and the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, providing a comprehensive support network and collaborative environment.

Role Overview

We are seeking an Estates Project Manager to support the senior executives of Bourne Education Trust in delivering an effective, compliant, and professional procurement and estates management service to the Trust and its constituent schools.

Details

Location: Primarily supporting schools in the Horton and Tilling Clusters (Epsom area), with regular travel to BET Head Office (Addlestone, Surrey). Occasional travel to all other schools may be required.

Contract: Permanent, full‑time (36 hours per week, 52 weeks per annum).

Reports to: Head of Estates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the Trust‑wide long and short‑term estates plans and individual estate development plans for each academy.
  • Partner with the Head of Estates to implement these plans within the Trust, delivering objectives for each academy and the Trust as a whole.
  • Prioritise and allocate capital funds in line with Trust objectives and DfE requirements.
  • Plan, implement and manage centrally and school‑funded capital projects in conjunction with the Trust’s property consultants and key school staff, monitoring consultants and contractors, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, quality, and safety, and evidencing value for money in all awarded contracts.
Requirements
  • A demonstration of awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children.
  • Degree or equivalent experience in a project management environment.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
  • Experience coordinating projects in complex and challenging environments.
  • Full EU driving licence.
  • Project management experience within Education, Not‑for‑Profit or Public Sector organisations.
  • Qualification in health and safety management (IOSH/NEBOSH) or significant experience of managing health and safety.
