A leading facility services provider in Bournemouth is looking for a Trolley Management/Cleaning Operative to manage trolleys and perform cleaning duties at Castlepoint Shopping Park. The ideal candidate will have good communication and customer care skills, a commitment to high standards, and a clean appearance. The role requires a full UK driving license and involves around 20 hours of work per week with opportunities for overtime. The candidate should be proactive in assisting colleagues and customers alike.

DUAL ROLE: Trolley Management/Cleaning Operative

20 hours per week with scope for overtime – will include weekends

Main Duties & Responsibilities

This is a dual role which may include a variety of tasks but specifically:

  • Tocollectloosetrolleys from all areas of the centre and secure them safely in the designated areas for public use.
  • Toperformvarious cleaning & waste management duties as required.
  • To ensure that all duties carried out are strictly in accordance with our standards & policies so that quality work is delivered, meeting/exceeding our expectations.
  • To always wear well laundered company uniform so that Castlepoint Shopping Park’s reputation for professionalism and quality is never compromised.
  • To ensure that all work undertaken is carried out in accordance with Castlepoint & ABM’s Health and Safety procedures. Moreover, to demonstrate the fact that each Castlepoint/ABM employee has a personal responsibility for their own health and safety and for that of persons who may be affected by their acts/or omissions.
  • Whilst at work to effectively assist with the public in a friendly & professional manner.
  • To carry out duties as directed by the Supervisor. Moreover, to always consider the work undertaken and wherever opportunities for improvements to working practices exist, put forward suggestions so that ‘continuous improvement’ is the norm.
  • To work in a proactive manner supporting/assisting colleagues whenever in a position to do so.
  • To undertake ad hoc duties as directed/ operationally required.

Health & Safety Responsibilities
  • Always follow Group and company policies and procedures.
  • Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment.
  • Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.
  • Report any issues or training needs to your line manager and/or via your divisional incident reporting system.
