Job summary

A leading manufacturing organization in the United Kingdom is seeking an Engineering Technician with a mechanical bias to ensure the safe and consistent operation of production equipment. This is a full-time position with responsibilities including performing maintenance tasks and troubleshooting. Engineering Technician (Mechanical Bias)

A well‑established and globally renowned manufacturing organisation are hiring an Engineering Technician (mechanical bias) on a permanent basis. Working within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, the primary focus of the role is to ensure the safe and consistent operation of production, processing and packaging equipment.

Shift: Monday to Friday (days), 37.5 hours, flexible start and finish times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative, planned and reactive maintenance tasks.
  • Interpret and work from isometric drawings, P&IDs, blueprints and other technical documentation.
  • Troubleshoot faults, identify required parts and carry out mechanical/electrical repairs.
  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers for equipment servicing and upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 qualification (or higher) in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Experience in a similar position within a manufacturing/production environment.
