Qualifications

• Must have previous experience as a time-served Engineer Surveyor within the inspection industry.
• Full UK Driving License is required.
• Professional registration at EngTech level is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed engineering inspections per regulations and standards.
• Produce engineering reports using inspection software.
• Represent the company at client sites and networking events.
• Coordinate schedules with the Office Administrator and Engineering team.

Job Summary

Due to ongoing growth, our team needs a fully qualified Engineer Surveyor, experienced and competent in examining lifting, mechanical and minor pressure plant who is located in East Anglia, preferably Norfolk or Cambridgeshire. You must be a critical thinker, who can work independently and apply engineering excellence to carry out Statutory Thorough Examinations on Lifting Plant (under LOLER 1998 Regs), Minor Pressure Systems and Vessels (under PSSR 2000 Regs) and Inspections of Mechanical Plant (under PUWER 1998 Regs).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed engineering inspections in line with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices
• Produce high-quality engineering reports using Motion Kinetic inspection software
• Represent LiftTech Inspection Services Ltd at client sites and industry networking events
• Work closely with both LiftTech Inspection Services Ltd and other partner companies to deliver a premium service across our networks
• Coordinate schedules with the Office Administrator and Engineering team
• Primarily a field-based role, operating from home with potential for occasional travel outside the region
• Maintain a flexible and proactive approach to service delivery
• Assist with RAMS/Examination Procedure reviews
• Assist with future ISO accreditations and subsequent audits

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum HNC or equivalent Level 4 in an engineering-related field
• Previous experience as a time-served Engineer Surveyor within the inspection industry (SAFed Pathway)
• Full UK Driving License

Preferred Skills

• Strong interpersonal skills and a solutions-focused approach
• Extensive knowledge of LOLER, PUWER and PSSR regulations and ACOPs
• Professional registration at EngTech level, with a willingness to be supported to IEng status
• Multi-discipline inspection experience preferred (e.g. mobile cranes, passenger lifts, materials handling, powered access, minor pressure systems)
• Sound understanding of PSSR Written Schemes of Examination
• Familiarity with SAFed guidance and relevant British Standards
• Previous experience working in a UKAS 17020 Inspection Body
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and eager to learn within a collaborative team environment
