Qualifications

• Significant experience in HGV repair and maintenance.
• Apprenticeship in vehicle maintenance is essential.
• Ability to work towards C driving license is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair the fire service's fleet of vehicles.
• Participate in the standby rota system for emergency responses.
• Conduct inspections of fire engines and other vehicles.

Skills

Experience in repair and maintenance of motor vehicles

Recognised apprenticeship in Heavy Goods Vehicle maintenance

Category C driving license

Full driving license

Education

City and Guilds Parts 1, 2 and 3 Motor craft studies

Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship or equivalent
