Embedded Software Engineer – Marine Sensor Development

Hybrid workspace with visits to the office near Reading.

Responsibilities

• Develop next-generation sensors for the marine industry.
• Write and maintain code in C and C++.
• Work with microcontroller hardware (STM32, PIC, TM4C) and related frameworks, addressing memory, performance, and power constraints.
• Develop, debug, and cross‑compile for various hardware architectures; use virtualization and Docker concepts.
• Architect and document designs.
• Follow coding guidelines and develop unit and system tests.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Physics, Maths, Software Engineering, or Computer Science.
• 5‑10 years of proven experience in software engineering.
• Security clearance required – sole UK national status (single British passport).
