Location: Swansea SA; Department: YUS - FT13 - General Engineers; Compensation: £43,260 / year (realistic earning potential of £50K-£55K, dependent on location).
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the safe installation, exchange, commissioning, removal and ongoing maintenance of metering systems and associated equipment and communication systems.
- Undertake friendly debt resolution visits with the aim to fit a Smart Meter and collect outstanding debt (dedicated back-office support team to support).
- Undertake Warrants visits to resolve debt (not solo; work with Warrant Officer as required).
- Deliver a variety of field metering activities focused on positive customer outcomes, with safety and quality as priorities.
Upskilling and Career Path
- Initial upskilling to three phase, medium pressure, and debt-related customer visits (as above).
- Opportunities to upskill to: Half Hourly / CT Metering, Gas U16 – U40, Technical Lead, Quality Assessor, Regional Field Manager.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Essential: Smart Metering (Dual Fuel) experience; CMA1/CCN1 + MET1 (or equivalent); Certificate in Power (Logic or equivalent).
- Desirable: MET4 (Small commercial gas metering); Current Transformer (CT); Three Phase; REGT1-Medium Pressure.
- UK Driving Licence; Ability to pass colour blindness test; Pass a DBS check.
