Elite Dual Fuel Commercial Metering Engineer (including Warrant Officer) - South Yorkshire
Location: South Yorkshire
Compensation: £43,260 / year (realistic earning potential of £50K-£55K depending on location)
Hours: 40 hours Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm; OOH services 6am – 8am, 5pm – 8pm
Department: YUS - FT13 - General Engineers
This role is focused on the commercial sector. You will be upskilled to include three phase, medium pressure, and debt resolution visits with customer-friendly experiences, and may alternate between Warrants as the engineer and acting as the Warrant Officer (never solo).
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the safe installation, exchange, commission, removal and ongoing maintenance of metering systems and associated equipment and communication systems
- Undertake friendly debt resolution visits with the aim to fit a smart meter and collect outstanding debt (dedicated back-office support team to support you)
- Undertake Warrant Officer visits to resolve debt (dedicated back-office support team to support)
- Deliver a variety of metering activities focused on positive customer outcomes and uphold safety and quality standards
Upskilling and Career Progression
- Upskill to three phase metering and medium pressure requirements
- Opportunities to upskill to: Half Hourly / CT Metering, Gas U16 – U40, Technical Lead, Quality Assessor, Regional Field Manager
Qualifications
- Essential Qualifications / Experience: Smart Metering (Dual Fuel) Experience; CMA1/CCN1 + MET1 (or equivalent); Certificate in Power (Logic or equivalent)
- Desirable: MET4 – Small commercial gas metering; Current Transformer (CT); Three Phase; REGT1-Medium Pressure
