Electronics Manufacturing Engineering Lead

Our client is seeking an experienced Electronics Manufacturing Engineering Lead to develop PCBA and product test capability, support reliable production, and lead a small team of engineers/technicians. This role suits a hands‑on electronics engineer with strong leadership and project delivery skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a small Electronics Manufacturing & Test team.
  • Introduce new products, processes and automated test equipment into manufacturing.
  • Design, validate and document electronic test systems and verification processes.
  • Provide advanced diagnostic support and root‑cause analysis.
  • Support data‑driven improvements across manufacturing operations.
  • Work closely with engineering, quality, manufacturing teams and external suppliers.
  • Contribute to DfM/DfA/DfT and ensure IPC standards are met.
  • Drive continuous improvement in PCBA manufacturing and test.
  • Strong electronics design, measurement and fault‑finding capability.
  • Leadership experience within engineering/manufacturing.
  • Experience with SMT/PCBA/AOI equipment.
  • Understanding of firmware/software and basic coding.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills (8D, A3, RCA).
  • Excellent communication, organisation and documentation skills.
  • Familiarity with ISO9001 or similar quality systems.
  • Firmware/software coding skills.
  • ATEX/IECEx or hazardous‑area product experience.
  • Knowledge of ISO45001/14001.
  • 3D CAD (e.g., SolidWorks).
