A leading gas transportation company is looking for an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Operations Technician in Peterborough. This role involves maintenance, fault-finding, and ensuring the operation of gas transmission systems while adhering to safety standards. You must have a relevant apprenticeship and a BTEC National Certificate in an electrical or instrumentation discipline. We're looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical & Instrumentation Operations Technician to join our East area operations team. In this role, you'll carry out maintenance, fault‑finding and repair activities on electrical, control and instrumentation systems to ensure the continuous and safe operation of our gas transmission assets.
You’ll be a safety‑conscious engineering technician with a strong commitment to operational excellence. You’ll be collaborative, thriving in team environments where precision and reliability are key. You’ll have a proactive approach to problem‑solving, and a deep respect for compliance and safety standards, ensuring assets are maintained to the highest standards. You’ll also bring a calm and capable presence to emergency situations.
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
