Electrical Fitter Job - Machinery Manufacturing | Leeds - £38K + Benefits

Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire
Salary: £38,000 + Paid Overtime & Additional Allowances
Hours: 4-Day Week - Monday to Thursday, 37hrs

Are you an experienced Electrical Fitter looking to join a growing and well-established machinery manufacturing business? This is an excellent opportunity to join a company with record sales, long-term stability, and a strong order book. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking skilled professionals with strong electrical assembly and machine wiring experience.

What you’ll be doing

As an Electrical Fitter, you will be responsible for the full electrical assembly of complex machinery and equipment, including:

  • Building, wiring, and testing electrical control panels to detailed specifications
  • Carrying out full machine wiring, including cable routing, terminations, and fault finding
  • Interpreting and working from schematic diagrams, electrical drawings, and wiring diagrams
  • Completing electrical diagnostics, problem solving, and wiring of electrical control systems
  • Supporting machine build, commissioning and ensuring all electrical wiring is completed to the highest standard
  • Collaborating with Electrical Engineers, Mechanical Fitters, and the wider production team to deliver high-quality equipment
What you’ll bring

We're looking for someone with proven skills as an Electrical Fitter, Electrical Assembly Fitter, Electrical Machine Builder, or similar role within machinery or equipment manufacturing.

You should have:

  • Strong experience in electrical assembly, machine wiring, and panel wiring
  • Ability to confidently read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Hands-on experience wiring electrical panels, machinery, or automation equipment
  • Good fault-finding/diagnostics experience and a practical approach to problem solving
  • Background in one or more of the following: Electrical Assembler, Control Panel Wirer, Machine Wiring Technician, Electrical Technician, Electrical Wirer, Wireman, Electrical Build Technician, or Electrical Assembly Engineer
  • Exposure to PLCs or software-based systems (advantageous but not essential)
