About the role

Automation Engineers Australia is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer and projects coordinator to join our team in Rouse Hill, NSW. In this full‑time position, you will be responsible for programming and maintaining industrial control systems, as well as providing electrical engineering support for our diverse range of projects. Additionally you will be working alongside our leading hand to manage project life stages and trades.
Our core basis of projects is custom machine design and assembly, where you will see projects come to life.

What you’ll be doing
  • Managing project milestones and timelines to ensure on‑time delivery. Collaborating with our team and client to ensure project success.
  • Designing, implementing, and troubleshooting industrial automation and control systems.
  • Providing electrical engineering support for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems.
  • Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Documenting and maintaining detailed records of all work performed.
  • Continuously improving processes and identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency.
What we’re looking for
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in PLC programming, preferably with Siemens, Allen‑Bradley and Beckhoff control systems.
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in electrical design in AutoCAD.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including power systems, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Proficiency in electrical design, drafting, and documentation.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
