Electrical Design Engineer – Publiship

Location: Blackwood, Wales, United Kingdom. Salary: £38,000‑£42,000 per annum, depending on experience.

You will design and develop bespoke electrical systems for environmental test chambers, working from concept to commissioning alongside project managers, engineers, and production staff.

The Role
  • Design schematics and wiring diagrams using CAD
  • Specify components such as PLCs, sensors, and switchgear
  • Ensure designs meet safety standards and regulations
  • Support manufacturing, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Contribute to quotations, manuals, and technical documentation
  • Assist with part selection and purchasing
  • Provide technical support to sales and service teams

  • Electrical system design experience in machine manufacturing
  • Strong control panel and safety system design knowledge
