Overview

Hours: Full time, Part time - 37.5 hours per week (N/A). Job ref: 188-CL240126. Town: Southampton. Closing: 17/02/2026.

We are looking for an HCPC registered dietitian who is keen to develop their experience in the acute hospital setting to join our Band 6 rotational programme in our adult dietetic team.

Our programme includes 7 rotations (current posts in general surgery & hepato-biliary (HPB) surgery). Part time/flexible working will be considered. The role is offered on a fixed term basis but there is potential to be extended.

Responsibilities

You will join our Band 6 rotational programme, working as a key member in the relevant team and alongside senior dietitians to gain an in-depth knowledge of the following specialties:

• Gastroenterology
• General surgery
• Acute medicine (acute medical unit, general medicine and hepatology)
• Oncology
• Hepato-biliary (HPB) surgery
• High dependency (and critical care)

Development & CPD

We hold regular internal CPD sessions and you will have the opportunity to engage in service evaluation, service improvement and clinical research.
