Student Ministries (Youth) Director

Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Stafford, VA, is seeking a full‑time Student Ministries Director to oversee and coordinate student ministries programs aligned with the church’s strategic vision. The Director will create, implement, and manage experiences and environments designed to reach and strengthen middle‑school and high‑school students in their Christian faith development.

Responsibilities

• Develop, sustain, and manage ministry teams to plan and implement high‑school and middle‑school ministry experiences.
• Provide strategies and programs that reach out to high‑school and middle‑school students in the community and congregation at all faith levels.
• Create dynamic experiences that teach the Bible and the basics of the Christian faith.
• opportunities for students to grow spiritually.
• Partner with other ministries to include students in serving opportunities.
• Collaborate with Pastors to provide an annual confirmation experience for students wishing to join the church.
• Offer opportunities for parents to partner in youth faith development.
• Prepare and oversee the Student Ministries budget.
• Work with administrative staff to schedule, promote, and market ministry opportunities.
• Identify current trends in student ministries and propose new ideas to expand scope and capabilities.
• Continue personal and professional growth in the Christian faith.

Qualifications

• At least a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Three to five years of experience as a youth ministry leader, or equivalent lay community experience.
• High energy, maturity, and leadership that unifies discussions at both strategic and tactical levels.
• Experience developing training, educational programs, or curriculum for students.
• Project‑management skills or proven ability to manage projects.
• Collaborative style and relationship‑builder attitude.
