Education and Outreach Officer- Tech Against Terrorism

Tech Against Terrorism - London TAT HQ - Onsite - Full Time

Start date: ASAP

Location: London, UK, hybrid (2-3 days per week in the central London office)

We are looking to engage an Education and Outreach Officer on a 12-month fixed-term contract to develop and deliver comprehensive educational programs that raise awareness about online radicalisation, digital extremism, and strategies for preventing youth vulnerability to terrorist recruitment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Design and implement age-appropriate educational workshops for secondary schools and colleges
  • Develop engaging presentation materials that explain digital recruitment strategies and online radicalisation processes
  • Establish and maintain strong collaborative relationships with educational institutions, school leadership teams, and safeguarding professionals
  • Conduct risk assessment and prevention training for educators and pastoral care teams
  • Create interactive resources that help young people critically evaluate online content and understand potential manipulation techniques
  • Provide guidance and support to schools on identifying early signs of potential radicalisation
  • Develop comprehensive reporting and evaluation frameworks for outreach activities
  • Represent the organisation at educational conferences and professional development events

Alongside your main responsibilities, there may be an opportunity for the right candidate to be involved in our wider activities in communications and policy.

The initial period of employment will be for a fixed term of 12 months, with renewal subject to the availability of funding.

Essential Requirements
  • Degree in education, psychology, counter‑terrorism studies, or related field
  • Proven experience in education or delivering workshops in educational settings
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong understanding of digital extremism and online recruitment tactics
  • Experience in developing educational resources

Desirable
  • Previous experience in counter‑extremism or safeguarding roles
  • Knowledge of digital media and online communication platforms
