The Dayforce Payroll Analyst role operates in a dynamic, high-volume environment supporting a large UK workforce. You will support the payroll function by managing complex payroll cycles involving thousands of employees, varied shift patterns, frequent last-minute adjustments, intricate absence and time-away policies, and strict adherence to HMRC regulations and UK payroll legislation (including RTI submissions). The pace is demanding; payroll deadlines are non-negotiable, queries require prompt resolution, and precision is essential to maintain financial accuracy, employee trust, and organisational compliance.
We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented professional with a strong work ethic who takes responsibility for their tasks, thrives in a deadline-driven setting, and consistently delivers accurate, compliant results as part of the payroll team. This is a supportive role focused on helping the payroll function run smoothly and efficiently.
Support the payroll function in Dayforce by ensuring accurate and compliant payroll operations, with emphasis on Time & Attendance (T&A), Time Away From Work (TAFW), testing, auditing, and team training/development. The role combines day-to-day processing support with configuration assistance, quality checks, and contributions to continuous improvement to enhance accuracy and colleague experience.
Relevant payroll qualification (e.g., CIPP or equivalent) highly preferred.
This role is 2 days a week in York and the rest remote. They will pay travel and accommodation expenses.
