Job summary

A leading petrochemical company in Grangemouth is looking for an Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer to join their Infrastructure Asset team. This role involves leading troubleshooting on critical equipment, providing I/E support to CAPEX projects, and developing I/E strategies. Candidates should have relevant engineering experience, ideally with a degree, and a commitment to safety standards. Qualifications

  • Experience as an Instrument / Electrical Engineer in a relevant industry.
  • Understanding of legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with plant modification processes and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead troubleshooting on critical equipment failures.
  • Provide I/E support to the CAPEX projects.
  • Develop and procure critical I/E equipment.

Skills

Troubleshooting and root cause analysis
Knowledge of IEC 61511 Safety instrumented systems
Experience in installations of IE equipment in Hazardous areas
Ability to carry out Instrument & Electrical site audits
Self-motivation and plant reliability issue resolution

Education

Degree in a relevant engineering subject or equivalent experience
Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership
TUV certified Functional Safety Engineer
