A prestigious educational institution in London is seeking a talented and inspirational teacher of Chemistry. The successful candidate will teach Chemistry at various levels, including A-level, and work closely with colleagues to enhance the department's performance. Candidates should have a passion for promoting science education and engaging students outside the classroom. We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and inspirational classroom practitioner as teacher of Chemistry. The department is supportive and thriving and a good number of pupils take A-level Chemistry. The successful candidate will be a talented and forward-thinking classroom practitioner who will work closely with the department and the Head of Science to develop the teaching of Chemistry at Queen’s College, London. There is also a possibility of a Second in Charge - Science role.
The Science department comprises eight full-time staff and two laboratory technicians. The department has six main teaching laboratories, a smaller laboratory for A-level groups, a departmental office, and two prep rooms. The department makes extensive use of IT and has a wide range of data-logging sensors and many software applications available. The school is located in central London, with easy access to local facilities and institutions such as Imperial College, Kew Gardens, the Royal Institution and the Royal Society of Chemistry.
