About The Role

We are recruiting experienced Ad Hoc Support Workers to support children aged 5–17 within residential children homes and 16–18 year olds within semi‑independent services. This is ad hoc work only, covering sickness, annual leave and emergency/crisis situations.

The young people supported present with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) and often have complex needs, including:

• Mental health challenges
• Self‑harm behaviours
• Substance misuse
• Learning disabilities
• History of offending
• Asylum‑seeking backgrounds

While the majority of placements are planned, the service also supports emergency referrals, so confidence working in high‑pressure situations is important.
