Responsibilities
- Produce video led content across formats, including series, interviews, podcasts, trailers and social media assets
- Lead end to end production: development, pre-production, production, post-production and delivery
- Direct shoots and interviews, shaping narrative, tone and creative approach
- Film and record content as required, and edit to a high standard for platform ready delivery
- Brief, schedule and manage freelance crews and editors, ensuring consistent outputs
- Oversee publishing and maintenance of key video platforms (for example YouTube), including metadata, thumbnails, playlists and version control
- Work closely with Digital Content (including the Social Media team), Marketing and Press on distribution planning and scheduling, leading the timeline and project management for capture and editing
- Manage the video content budget, contracts and suppliers within agreed parameters
- Ensure permissions, releases and clearances are in place and work within editorial and compliance guidelines
- Ensure content aligns with brand guidelines and maintains a consistent tone, look and feel across series and channels
- Ensure content meets accessibility requirements, including captions and transcripts, and manage suppliers where needed
- Manage footage and project files, including naming conventions, version control, archiving and delivery of masters
- Continuously improve production workflows and keep up to date with audio visual trends and platform changes
Qualifications
Essential
- Strong portfolio demonstrating high quality video content for multiple platforms
- Proven experience directing and producing content, taking projects from concept to final delivery
- Confident camera, sound and lighting knowledge appropriate to digital production
- Strong editing skills and the ability to deliver finished outputs independently
- Experience managing freelance video teams and editors, including briefing and quality control
- Excellent people and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and confidently direct contributors across a wide range of backgrounds, including high profile talent, partners, community members and internal stakeholders
- Strong planning and organisational skills, able to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities
- judgement, including knowing when to elevate sensitive or potentially controversial issues
- Commitment to championing representation and inclusion at every level of the organisation with a proven ability to work with people from a wide range of backgrounds
Desirable
- Experience with rights, releases, clearances and licensing
- Experience using platform insights and analytics to improve content performance
- Enthusiasm for training, mentoring and support of emerging talent
