Role: Learning Technology Lead

Hours: 36.25 hours per week

Contract: Permanent, Full-time


Salary: £39,561 - £43,356 (Scale 9 Business Support)

Employer Pension Contribution: (£8,228.69- £9,019.05)

Base: All sites in the Trafford and Stockport College Group

As Learning Technology Lead, you’ll help turn that ambition into day‑to‑day practice by enabling staff to use technology confidently, purposefully and in line with our Teaching & Learning Strategy and Student Digital Entitlement.

The role

You will:

  • Lead the learning technology offer across our campuses, providing expert guidance on platforms and tools that improve planning, teaching, assessment and feedback, with accessibility built‑in from the start.
  • Design and deliver CPD that is practical, evidence‑informed and aligned to college priorities, modelling strategies that staff can lift straight into their lessons.
  • Work with curriculum teams to plan, trial and evaluate high‑impact digital approaches.
  • Champion inclusion and assistive technologies, ensuring our digital choices remove barriers and promote learner independence.
  • Lead projects and pilots that move us forward in the areas of artificial intelligence, technology to assist with assessment and virtual reality.
  • Curate a high‑quality digital toolkit and track adoption and impact.
  • Act as a trusted specialist, advising on procurement, integrations and roadmap planning alongside Quality, IT and Curriculum leaders.
