Job summary

A logistics company based in Wolverhampton is seeking a Class 1 Driver to handle store and depot deliveries. This role involves operating box trailer articulated vehicles, ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately, and conducting daily vehicle checks. The position offers a competitive pay rate of £15.28 per hour, rising after 12 weeks, with overtime potential. Candidates must have a valid Class 1 Licence and experience in similar roles is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence.
• CPC & Digital Tachograph Card are required.
• Experience in Class 1 driving is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver goods to retail stores, RDCs, and distribution depots.
• Operate box trailer articulated vehicles.
• Complete all PODs and delivery paperwork accurately.

Overview

Class 1 Driver Wolverhampton

Location: WV11 3SQ, Wolverhampton

Pay: £15.28 per hour (PAYE)

After 12 weeks: Pay rise + Overtime up to £24.50

Days: Monday to Friday

Start Time: 10:00am 11:00am

Shift Length: 812 hours

Work Type: Store, RDC & Depot Deliveries

Responsibilities

• Delivering goods to retail stores, RDCs, and distribution depots
• Operating box trailer articulated vehicles
• Completing trunking, store deliveries, and depot-to-depot runs
• Ensuring all PODs and delivery paperwork are completed accurately
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
• No handball clean, organised Class 1 work.

Hours & Pay

• Monday to Friday work
• Start times between 10:00am 11:00am
• 812 hour shifts
• £15.28 per hour PAYE
• After 12 weeks: pay rise + overtime up to £24.50
• Weekly pay every Friday

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence
• Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous Class 1 Driving Experience Preferred
• Experience delivering to stores or RDCs desirable
• Maximum 6 points (no DR, DD, IN)
• Safety boots & hi-vis
