What you will do

• Carry out Multi-Agency Risk Assessments with thorough evaluation of each situation.
• Communicate timely with families via phone and in person, keeping everyone informed and involved.
• Analyse historical and current concerns to make well-rounded decisions.
• Adhere to relevant timescales for all activities and ensure efficient case management.
• Maintain accurate case records and documentation of all actions and decisions.
• Offer clear telephone advice to agency referrers about appropriate actions and expected outcomes.
• Respond to Section 47 enquiries to assess risk and need for children and families involved.
• Complete enhanced screenings of cases to support informed decision-making.
• Make informed threshold decisions to guide appropriate referrals and actions.
• Provide signposting to locality services, ensuring families access the right resources.
• Attend and actively participate in strategy meetings and multi-agency gatherings.
• Ensure that appropriate investigative pathways are followed for ongoing cases.

Requirements of the Social Worker

• A Degree or equivalent qualification in social work is required.
