Job summary

A regional healthcare provider in Bedford is looking for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to enhance its Paediatric Oncology Shared Care Unit services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in caring for children with haematological conditions and need qualifications such as RSCN and a Paediatric Oncology Course. They will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high standards of care and support. The role also involves developing training initiatives and influencing positive changes in service delivery.

Qualifications

• Active involvement in caring for children with Oncology/Hematology conditions.
• Recent Band 6 general ward acute experience required.
• Capability of influencing new nursing practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate care for acutely unwell children in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Provide patient-centered specialist nursing care.
• Develop and deliver training interventions for service development.
