Responsibilities
- Lead on the development and delivery of in-curriculum placement experiences (e.g., Integrated Learning Placements and Micro-placement projects), delivering annually 40 in-curriculum placement experiences for City St George’s students.
- Develop and deliver future in-curriculum placement experiences in collaboration with academic staff and partner organisations.
- Support academic societies by developing their activities, helping them build community, and facilitating engagement with employers.
- Work in partnership with City St George’s Careers and Employability team to support the delivery of the Union and Universities employability programme.
- Provide administration and governance support for academic societies, including relevant processes and volunteer coordination.
- Project manage initiatives to ensure successful delivery of placement experiences and student employability activities.
- Engage with university departments, graduate employers, and academic society committee members; maintain effective communication with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Be on campus on a 4-days-a-week basis during term time to support students on site.
Person Specification
- Experience in working with and supporting volunteers, with the ability to administer and improve administrative processes related to academic societies.
- Project management experience to deliver placement experiences and related activities.
- Strong understanding of the graduate labour market and the relationship between employers and universities.
- Excellent communication skills to engage university departments, graduate employers, and academic society members.
