A manufacturing company in the United Kingdom is looking for a Production Technician to operate drum dryers and other equipment. This role offers a starting pay of $24/hr, with opportunities for advancement and tiered pay increases. Candidates should have a high school degree or GED and a willingness to learn. The position involves working in a 24/7 facility with responsibilities including maintaining equipment, following safety protocols, and ensuring product quality. Experience in manufacturing or chemical processing is preferred.
Schedule is a rotating schedule, the plant operates 24 hours.
The Manufacturing Production Technician is a progressive role starting with operating production drying equipment. This position is responsible for maximizing product output and maintaining specifications. Training provided.
Starting pay is $24 per hour with a $1 per hour shift differential for night and weekend shifts.
Pay range is: $24-$33 per hour.
The plant is a 24 hour, 7 day per week operating facility. This position will work a fixed schedule with night and weekend pay differential.
80 hours of vacation, pro-rated the 1st year.
Tiered pay increases as experience is gained along with advancement opportunities.
Must be able to operate a forklift. Must follow all plant safety rules, keep work area clean, and perform other related duties as assigned.
High school degree or GED required
Education/Training in an industrial field or at least one year of related experience (Preferred)
Mechanical Aptitude
Ability and willingness to learn
Experience using hand tools
Previous manufacturing or chemical processing experience preferred
Fork Truck operating experience preferred.
Drivers License preferred
Ability to communicate well and follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
Strong problem solving and critical thinking abilities.
Demonstrate strong judgement.
Ability to effectively work as a team.
Lifting and handling up to 55 lbs pounds of weight is required. Occasional heavier weights may be encountered during cleanup.
Exposure to dust, cold and hot temperatures at times.
