Job summary

A leading flooring supplier in Scotland seeks a Stock Controller to manage stock accuracy and visibility. The ideal candidate will have experience in stock control and strong skills in using stock systems like Unleashed, alongside excellent numeracy. Responsibilities include maintaining stock levels, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring effective reporting. This role offers stability and ownership of stock processes.

Qualifications

  • Experience in stock control or inventory management.
  • Confident using stock systems (e.g., Unleashed) with strong Excel skills.
  • High attention to detail with excellent numeracy and accuracy.
  • Able to investigate issues methodically and suggest practical solutions.
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate stock levels across all stores and warehouse locations.
  • Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, shortages, and misallocations.
  • Carry out regular cycle counts and support quarterly stock takes.
  • Ensure all stock adjustments, transfers, and write-offs are processed correctly.
  • Use Unleashed daily for stock control and reporting.
  • Support forecasting and demand planning using system data.
  • Improve stock organisation to support accuracy, traceability, and visibility across sites.
  • Support improvements in supplier ETA tracking and internal communication.
  • Work closely with Finance, Warehouse, Area Managers, and Store Teams on stock information.
