This post is ideal for new and existing DT teachers who have a passion for their subject and a desire to enthuse young people and provide them with the tools for future success.The DT faculty has its own specialist building which is fully equipped for all specialisms. The team consists of 7 specialists and 2 technicians who work closely together in designing and delivering the curriculum from KS3 to KS5 with a strong record of results. DT subjects include PD, engineering, textiles & food. Currently within the faculty we offer PD (AQA) at KS4 and Engineering (WJEC) at KS4 & KS5 and so a background in these subjects and/or prior teaching experience of them would be an advantage, although there will be training opportunities for the right candidate.The successful candidate will be required to deliver high quality lessons, motivate, challenge and inspire our students. They will be committed to closing gaps and raising attainment across all abilities.
