Job description

Robertson Recruitment are working with a manufacturing company based in Nottingham as they look for a drill operative to join the team on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for operating pillar drill machines to drill, countersink, and prepare sheet metal components to specification, ensuring accuracy and quality at all times.

Working hours

Monday to Friday 08:00am - 16:00pm

Overtime available.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operating pillar drill machines safely and efficiently
  • Drilling and countersinking holes in sheet metal components
  • Reading and following engineering drawings and job instructions
  • Measuring and inspecting parts using basic hand tools
  • Deburring and finishing components as required
Requirements
  • Previous experience operating a pillar drill or similar machinery (preferred)
  • Experience working with sheet metal or in a fabrication environment
  • Ability to read basic engineering drawings
  • Good attention to detail and manual dexterity
