Overview

Here at JELD-WEN UK, a global organisation that produces and manufactures Doors and DoorSets, we’re looking for a Door Kits Estimator to join our existing team. Working from our site in Sheffield UK you will support the Sales and Operations teams producing accurate, timely, and commercially viable quotations for standard and bespoke commercial door sets.

Responsibilities
  • Quotation Preparation
    • Prepare detailed cost estimates for House Builders, including materials, hardware, and labour.
    • Apply pricing structures and margin targets in line with company policy.
  • Technical Review
    • Interpret architectural drawings, door schedules, and specifications to ensure technical accuracy.
    • Identify and resolve any inconsistencies or missing information in customer documentation.
  • Customer and Sales Support
    • Liaise with internal sales teams and customers to clarify requirements and provide technical input.
    • Respond to quote‑related queries and provide revisions as needed.
  • Documentation and Record‑Keeping
    • Maintain accurate records of all quotes, revisions, and correspondence.
    • Ensure all documentation is stored in accordance with company procedures.
  • Collaboration and Handover
    • Participate in handover meetings to ensure a smooth transition from quote to order.
    • Communicate clearly with scheduling and production teams to align expectations.
  • Contribute to the development of estimating tools, templates, and pricing databases.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, and turnaround time.
  • Product and Industry Knowledge
    • Stay informed about product developments, industry standards, and regulatory changes.
    • Attend training sessions and technical briefings as required.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience of relevant building regulations, products, enquiries, orders and estimating preferred.
  • Previous experience of the building industry would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience of working directly with customers.
  • Excellent IT skills for analysis and a good working knowledge of Excel would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience of working within specific guidelines and to set timescales and deadlines.
  • Previous experience with Salesforce preferred.
