Join Coventry City Council’s Outdoor Education Centre at Plas Dol‑y‑Moch, North Wales as a Domestic Assistant, where you will support staff and guests in a dynamic, residential setting.

Job Role
  • Maintain a clean, sanitised, tidy, and safe environment for children.
  • Support the kitchen team with general duties.
  • Perform deep cleaning of communal areas on change‑over days.
  • Assist in the preparation, delivery, and clearing up of both breakfasts and evening meals.
  • Help keep the centre ready for forthcoming courses.
Typical Working Hours
  • Afternoon shifts: 2:00 pm–6:30 pm (4.5 hrs) or 3:30 pm–6:30 pm (3 hrs).
  • Morning shift: 7:00 am–12:00 pm (5 hrs).
  • Change‑over days: every 4 days, 6 hrs per change‑over (start 7:00 am–8:30 am).
Requirements
  • Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship offered).
  • Previous experience in catering, housekeeping or a busy residential setting is an advantage.
  • Approachable, patient with 10‑18 year‑olds, positive attitude, attention to detail and flexibility.
  • Appointment conditional upon a DBS check; this post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offences Act 1974.
