Document Controller

Due to our winning new School Build projects, Bouygues UK is looking for an experienced Document Controller for a 1‑year fixed term contract.

Job Purpose and Scope

You will be responsible for assisting the team by managing all administrative and technical documents, including the control of documentation and administrative processes in accordance with project specific and company procedures.

Skills Required
  • Good IT skills (MS Office), Excel with basic formulas and conditional formatting
  • Good attention to detail
  • Capacity to work effectively within a team environment
  • Organisational skills (prioritising tasks, respecting deadlines, methodical work)
  • Flexibility with changes to tasks and duties
  • Proactive and able to follow up when information is missing
  • Multi‑tasking
  • Viewpoint for projects not essential as training will be provided
  • A basic understanding of construction drawings and approvals process would be advantageous
Responsibilities
  • Check and process drawings and other technical information on the EDMS
  • Provide support to the Document Control team on projects running
  • Prepare documents for presentation (progress reports, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Set up internal meetings, prepare agendas and take minutes
  • Upload information onto EDMS conforming to Bouygues protocols
  • Assist with filing and archiving of project correspondence and handover documentation
