We’re excited to offer an incredible opportunity for a Divisional Training Manager to join our dedicated and professional team in Clitheroe!

Lead and standardise operational and compliance training across multiple sites in line with the Group Operational Capability strategy. Ensure high‑quality, engaging delivery through competent trainers, effective coaching, and digital facilitation. Drive measurable improvements in capability, performance, compliance, and culture, building workforce readiness for current and future operational needs while leading regional operational capability transformation.

Working Hours:

Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm

Role Type:

Permanent, Full Time Role

Location:

Hybrid, with travel between 2 sites

Salary:

Up to £40,000 plus car allowance

Your Duties Will Include:
  • Implement divisional capability plans aligned with the group operational roadmap.
  • Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) with Operational Capability and HR teams.
  • Support roll‑out of group initiatives including digital transformation, automation, and continuous improvement.
  • Act as learning system superuser and escalation point, ensuring effective use of systems and data analytics.
  • Maintain and enhance standardized operational learning content in collaboration with senior capability leaders.
  • Develop visual, immersive, and data‑driven training materials.
  • Standardise SOPs to create a “single source of operational truth” across sites.
  • Champion digital and blended learning tools to ensure accessibility, scalability, and engagement.
Compliance & Audit Readiness
  • Maintain audit‑ready training records and systems for internal and external standards.
  • Monitor KPIs and report progress to senior capability leaders.
  • Promote accountability, proactive compliance, and robust governance for training, SOPs, and version control.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop site‑based Trainers and Coordinators, including appraisals and development planning.
  • Partner with Operational Capability teams to align training with business strategy and transformation initiatives.
  • Act as a change agent driving capability, culture, and behavioural development.
Budget Management & External Partnerships
  • Manage annual training budgets with Operational Capability Manager and site leaders.
  • Source and manage external training providers, ensuring strategic alignment and value.
  • Benchmark regional learning practices against industry trends and embed a sustainable learning ecosystem.
About You:
  • Proven experience in multi‑site operational learning or capability management, ideally within manufacturing, logistics, or FMCG sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of operational processes, standards, and compliance frameworks.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret learning data and performance trends.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills across diverse teams.
  • Leadership and coaching skills with experience developing training networks.
  • Proficiency in LMS platforms, digital learning tools & data reporting dashboards.
  • Qualifications in instructional design, learning & development, or operations management.
  • Experience with validation, assessment frameworks, or competency‑based training models.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or CI methodologies and their application to learning and operational processes.
  • Understanding of change management principles within transformation programmes.

The ideal candidate will have skills around quality assessment and evaluation, product development, teamwork/collaboration and strategic mindedness to support the Quality strategy and to interact with all key stakeholders to ensure changes are successful.
