Job description

Orkney isn't like anywhere else. Twenty inhabited islands, strong
communities built on resilience and resourcefulness, and a place
where infrastructure, planning and people aren't abstract
concepts but essential to sustaining island life.

We're forward thinking and investing in economic opportunity and
the vital infrastructure that enables communities to thrive.

You'll lead Infrastructure Services, Planning & Regulatory Services,
Property & Asset Management and Human Resources &
Organisational Development for Orkney Islands Council. Four
major service areas that are the foundation for how the Council
operates and delivers.

Your leadership will connect infrastructure to the people who
make it work, and your strategic thinking will shape real outcomes
across the organisation and in the community.

This is a high-profile corporate leadership role where you will see
the impact of your decisions on your community and where the
breadth of your remit demands genuine strategic vision, not just
technical expertise.
