A leading insurance company is seeking a Van Product Manager to join the Commercial Team in the UK. The role involves overseeing product management, analyzing customer insights, and identifying market opportunities. We currently have an exciting new opportunity to join our Commercial Team as a Direct Line Van Product Manager. This is a permanent and full‑time position, that can be based from our London, Leeds or Bristol office (hybrid working).

As a valued member of the team, you will be responsible for helping to deliver business objectives through product management, analysis of customer and market insight, and identifying opportunities to improve trading performance.
You will work alongside the Head of Products to align overall insurance vision and strategy with specific product missions and manage delivery of outcomes for Commercial Direct insurance products.
Leading project delivery, managing trade‑offs between customer and commercial outcomes and strategies.
You will work alongside stakeholders to identify areas for growth and build future product roadmaps aligned to the Commercial Direct growth plans.
Leading change team input into trading meetings with matrix‑managed stakeholders to articulate opportunities and potential risks.
Actively seeking out and bringing the ‘voice of the customer’ into all activities.
Identifying and driving development opportunities in line with consumer demand and overall Commercial Direct strategy.
Developing test & learn initiatives to improve product performance.
Ensuring the product adapts in line with shifts in consumer behaviour and market forces.
Working with key internal stakeholders to drive alignment with key internal interfaces outside of the team (Operations / Claims / CustomerCoE).
Leading on engagement with external business partners, creating strong relationships and effective dialogue to drive agreed outcomes.
Building deep understanding of regulatory landscape and identifying implications on business models, products and processes.
Business and financial acumen gained from relevant experience in a similar role.
A deep understanding of the insurance sector including the consumer, competitor and regulatory landscape.
Ability to gather and synthesise information from a broad range of customer, market and competitor sources to build a robust information base about the wider business context and use this insight to drive idea generation and execution.
Skilled at developing key relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to maximise support for the business.
Experience of managing financial aspects such as budgeting, planning, commercial trading and producing business cases.
Ability to manage complex trade‑offs between customer and commercial outcomes and strategy.
35 hours per week.
Permanent contract.
