Job summary

A leading business in vehicle services in Peterborough is seeking a DevOps engineer to support their transition to a DevSecOps environment and manage deployment and monitoring of C# products. The ideal candidate will possess skills in Azure DevOps, CI/CD automation, and infrastructure as code. This role involves 2 days on-site and 3 days remote, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to a major organizational transformation in a growing company.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools.
  • Knowledge of containerization and monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the IT department in transitioning to a DevSecOps environment.
  • Deploy and monitor C# products.
  • Support the shift from on-premise to Azure.

Job description

Our client is a leading business in its field and at the beginning of a major business transformation covering people, process and technology. They have the ambition to double the revenue of the business by maximizing existing business streams and entering new markets.

To enable this, the IT Department is evolving with a restructure, new roles, and upskilling existing ones and has moved to an Agile Methodology. Part of their transition is to a DevSecOps environment and are now looking for a DevOps engineer to assist. This will be working with the Head of Engineering to deploy and monitor C# products.

A major part of the role will be to assist the department to transition them from on-perm to Azure.

Key Skills
  • Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Boards, Artifacts, Test Plans)
  • CI/CD automation, gated releases, and environment governance e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI
  • Infrastructure-as-Code (Bicep, ARM, Terraform)
  • Containerisation (Docker, AKS) and serverless (Azure Functions)
  • Monitoring and observability (Application Insights, Log Analytics)
  • Secrets management and vulnerability scanning (Key Vault, SonarQube, OWASP)
