About this role

We’re looking for a Platform Engineer to join our Core Platform Services team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building, operating, and improving reliable infrastructure while growing their skills in cloud-native platforms at scale.

You’ll work closely with senior engineers to help roll out, operate, and standardize core platform capabilities such as EKS clusters, HashiCorp Vault, and Argo-based delivery workflows. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll contribute to platform services that enable application teams to deploy and run workloads securely and reliably.

These are some of the key ingredients to the role:

• Design, deploy, and operate workloads on AWS (primarily EKS, with exposure to EC2 and Lambda).

• Contribute to the operation and improvement of EKS clusters across multiple environments.

• Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and Helm, following established patterns and best practices.

• Implement and support monitoring, alerting, and observability using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Datadog.

• Work with Linux-based systems, assisting with debugging, performance tuning, and operational tasks.

• Support the rollout and usage of ArgoCD and Argo Workflows as part of our GitOps approach.

• Collaborate with development teams to help them deploy and operate microservices and event-driven workloads.

• Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and post‑incident reviews, learning root‑cause analysis techniques.

• Assist in operating HashiCorp Vault, including secret injection, access policies, and integrations with EKS workloads.

What will you bring to the table?

• Good understanding of Linux fundamentals, networking basics (DNS, TLS/SSL, HTTP), and containers.

• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, ideally with EKS or another managed Kubernetes offering.

• Familiarity with RBAC, authentication concepts (OIDC), and basic secret management practices.

• Experience working with Terraform and Helm for infrastructure or application deployment.

• Exposure to microservices or event‑driven architectures.

• Interest in SRE practices, automation, monitoring, and operational excellence.

• Awareness of cloud security best practices and a desire to learn more.

• Scripting or programming experience in Go, Python, or Bash.

• A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn from peers and contribute to team goals.
