About this role
We’re looking for a Platform Engineer to join our Core Platform Services team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building, operating, and improving reliable infrastructure while growing their skills in cloud-native platforms at scale.
You’ll work closely with senior engineers to help roll out, operate, and standardize core platform capabilities such as EKS clusters, HashiCorp Vault, and Argo-based delivery workflows. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll contribute to platform services that enable application teams to deploy and run workloads securely and reliably.
Design, deploy, and operate workloads on AWS (primarily EKS, with exposure to EC2 and Lambda).
Contribute to the operation and improvement of EKS clusters across multiple environments.
Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform and Helm, following established patterns and best practices.
Implement and support monitoring, alerting, and observability using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Datadog.
Work with Linux-based systems, assisting with debugging, performance tuning, and operational tasks.
Support the rollout and usage of ArgoCD and Argo Workflows as part of our GitOps approach.
Collaborate with development teams to help them deploy and operate microservices and event-driven workloads.
Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and post‑incident reviews, learning root‑cause analysis techniques.
Assist in operating HashiCorp Vault, including secret injection, access policies, and integrations with EKS workloads.
Good understanding of Linux fundamentals, networking basics (DNS, TLS/SSL, HTTP), and containers.
Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, ideally with EKS or another managed Kubernetes offering.
Familiarity with RBAC, authentication concepts (OIDC), and basic secret management practices.
Experience working with Terraform and Helm for infrastructure or application deployment.
Exposure to microservices or event‑driven architectures.
Interest in SRE practices, automation, monitoring, and operational excellence.
Awareness of cloud security best practices and a desire to learn more.
Scripting or programming experience in Go, Python, or Bash.
A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn from peers and contribute to team goals.
