Job description

The Edinburgh International Book Festival is a world-leading cultural Festival, withdemocracy, creativity and ideas exchange at its heart. We celebrate the power of wordsand writing in all of their dynamic and imaginative forms, bringing diverse perspectivestogether, and empowering our audiences to deepen their understanding of our everchanging world.

Since 1983, we have welcomed hundreds of thousands of visitors to engage with theworld’s greatest and emerging writers, thinkers, artists, and performers. Each year, weprogramme innovative events that broaden the horizons and enrich the minds of ouraudiences, both in Edinburgh and online. These take the form of on-stage conversations,workshops, creative masterclasses, think tanks, and more, all informed by a culture ofopen dialogue, curiosity about the perspectives of others, and active embracing of newideas and experiences.

About the Role

If you love working with people and are highly organised this could be the role for you. This exciting role involves working in a busy and fast paced development team and would be ideal if you are looking to start a career in Fundraising. Our Development Assistant helps keep everything running smoothly across the whole team, from managing our CRM system and maintaining accurate data, to responding to enquiries and supporting fundraising activity. You’ll play a vital part in ensuring donors, members and supporters feel valued and engaged, providing first-class customer service.
