Job description
Overview of the Role

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated End User Compute (EUC) Engineer to join our busy & dynamic IT Team, primarily supporting Love2Shop users and systems from our Liverpool office, along with onsite support in both our Birkenhead and Haydock locations. In this hands-on role, you'll provide expert 1st & 2nd line support across a wide range of devices and applications while contributing to ongoing infrastructure improvement initiatives.

You'll be the go-to person for end-user support, helping maintain a high standard of service while ensuring technology empowers our staff to perform at their best.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver responsive and effective 1st & 2nd line IT support across desktop, laptop, mobile and AV equipment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex incidents and requests via our Halo ITSM ticketing system (e.g., hardware, software, user access, application support)
  • Take ownership of support issues, seeing them through to resolution, and escalating where appropriate
  • Support and maintain Microsoft Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory environments
  • Manage IT assets, ensuring accurate tracking and lifecycle planning of hardware/software within our Halo ITSM system
  • Assist in planning and delivering EUC refresh projects (hardware replacements, software upgrades)
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and 3rd party support teams for seamless service delivery
  • Create and maintain internal technical documentation and knowledge base articles
  • Adhere to ITIL-aligned service management processes
  • Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge to support team development
What We’re Looking For

Technical Experience (Essential):

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS (10/11) and Microsoft 365
  • Active Directory, Group Policy and basic user management
  • Laptop hardware support and fault diagnosis
  • Imaging, deployment and configuration of endpoints
  • Experience using ticketing and asset management systems (Halo)

Attributes:

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and incident ownership
  • Comfortable prioritising tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Strong documentation and organisational skills
  • A genuine interest in technology and continuous improvement
  • Experience supporting MacOS environments
  • AV or collaboration tool support (Microsoft Teams, Logitech, etc.)
  • Experience working in a multi-site or corporate environment
