Job Description

As a Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and optimisation of our products. You will be responsible for creating detailed designs, conducting simulations, testing and collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualise and Design: Develop innovative design concepts that meet product requirements and specifications.
• Detailed Engineering: Create detailed engineering drawings and 3D models using CAD software.
• Simulation and Analysis: Conduct simulations and analysis to validate design performance, test performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Build and test prototypes, ensuring they meet design specifications.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, sales and marketing, to ensure seamless product development.
• Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of designs, including specifications, test results and technical reports.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for design improvements, value engineering and implement changes accordingly.
• Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.

Qualifications/Experience

• Experience: Ideally at least 3 years of experience in design engineering, preferably in the fenestration hardware arena or associated industry products, manufacturing or product development environment.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD), simulation tools, and other relevant engineering software.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct thorough testing and analysis.
• Creativity: Innovative mindset with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively.
