Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a similar housekeeping role.
  • Leadership experience in hospitality, specifically in housekeeping.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Housekeeper in managing a busy housekeeping department.
  • Be the contact for the General Manager and Senior Management in the Head Housekeeper's absence.
  • Maintain standards set by HotelCare and the client.
  • Commercial awareness and cost control.
  • Comply with health and safety policies.

Job description

Responsible To: Line Manager
Direct Reports: 0
Key Relationships: Coworkers, Guests, and Line Manager

Hours of Work: 16 hours per week (contracted).
Please note: You will work 2 days as Deputy Housekeeping Supervisor and an additional 3 days as a Room Attendant.

Contract end date: 31/08/2026.

Job Overview

As Deputy Head Housekeeper, you will utilise your management experience, commitment to excellence, and positive approach to assist the Head Housekeeper in efficiently overseeing a dynamic housekeeping department and improving team productivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Working in a fast paced high energy environment assisting the Head Housekeeper with the management of a busy housekeeping department.
  • Being the first point of contact for the Hotel General Manager and Senior Management team within the hotel in the absence of the Head Housekeeper.
  • Maintaining the standards set by HotelCare and our client at all times.

  • Commercial awareness and cost control capabilities.
  • Complying with all company health and safety policies, and reporting/recording any maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries to ensure adherence to the standards required for QA audits and jornalistas audits.

  • Prior experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in hospitality, with a focus on housekeeping operations.
