Deputy Divisional Director of Operations - Band 8C

We are looking for an exceptional Deputy Director of Operations who prides themselves on value‑based leadership; the Care Group encourages applications from individuals who place the importance of establishing a nurturing and supportive culture at the heart of everything that they do. The newly formed Care Group Triumvirate (Director of Operations, Chief of Service and Director of Nursing) are keen to focus upon a high‑performance JUST culture which provides the best care for our local communities.

You will be responsible for the formulation of strategic planning whilst juggling competing operational priorities, for the benefit of our patients. This post will support the Director of Operations to ensure that all services are focused on ensuring effective and efficient use of resources, to deliver a high‑quality service that achieves and exceeds the required performance targets.

Responsibilities
  • The effective operational management of the Care Group, ensuring coordination and planning of services across other Divisions to enable the provision of high‑quality services.
  • An effective performance management framework is in place to support Specialties to deliver agreed activity and financial plans and performance, quality, and workforce standards.
  • The delivery of effective and appropriate governance and risk management arrangements across the Care Group.
  • The Care Group’s income and control budgets are managed in accordance with SFIs and Standing orders, the principles of Service Line Reporting and Establishment Control.
  • The Care Group has a robust strategy and agreed priorities that align with the Trust strategic priorities.
