A local healthcare provider is seeking a Deputy Chief Digital Information Officer to lead digital transformation initiatives. This role involves supporting the Chief Digital Information Officer in operational and strategic objectives, enhancing clinical and operational efficiency through the development of digital services. An exciting fixed term / secondment opportunity has arisen within the Informatics Department to provide support to the Chief Digital Information Officer.
This role offers a unique chance to develop operational and leadership skills while contributing to the delivery of high-quality IT services, Information Governance, Clinical Systems, and Digital Transformation initiatives. You will play a key role in supporting both business-as-usual operations and strategic projects aligned with the national 10-year plan.
Through 2026, the pace of digital innovation will accelerate. This position places you at the heart of ensuring staff have the right tools and information to deliver outstanding care, while preparing the Trust to meet future challenges.

The digital teams provide IT, Information Governance and EPR services to the Trust. This role is pivotal in supporting the operational and strategic development of these functions, by a combination of hands on management support to the subject matter experts and supporting the CDIO with strategic developments across each service.
Working with the 3 functional experts, the post holder will ensure high levels of efficiency and effectiveness to enable the Trust meets all internal and external requirements and maximising the opportunities presented through the introduction of innovative new technologies.
Reporting to the Chief Digital Information Officer, you will work in partnership to develop the Trust's digital strategy and improve the operational capabilities of the service using their in-depth knowledge and experience.
The postholder will be instrumental in embedding a culture of digital maturity, continuous learning, and system leadership--ensuring every level of the organisation uses digital tools and services to deliver compassionate care, drive sustainable change, and improve outcomes for service users, carers and staff.
